When the rain falls, birds find shelter, leaves drift to the ground, and the dirt becomes muddy. The foliage receives a quenching drink, the air is cleaner and a burst of excitement follows once the sun has returned. Sometimes, when the conditions are right, it rains with the sun shining, and like kids with the sprinklers on, the birds splash around with extra delight!
Birds in the Rain began as a linocut relief print (see below) that spawned a whole world around the forest and birds.
